Let’s talk about Facebook Groups – what’s changed and how does it impact you?

Facebook groups for business - Social Bee Podcast for entrepreneurs

Do you use Facebook Groups in your business?

Are you worried that the changes recently made by Facebook may impact you?

Or perhaps you haven’t yet started a Group, and you’re wondering whether you should go ahead and create one?

In this episode, I talk about the changes to Groups that Mark Zuckerberg announced at the Facebook F8 conference held in April 2019. With tens of millions of active Groups on Facebook, and with 400 million of us using them, highlighting Groups on the platform in order to create a stronger focus on community building seems like the right move to make. But how does our Facebook experience change as a result?  What do the three new tabs mean? And what’s to come in the world of Facebook Groups? Tune in to find out!

You will learn…

  1. How Facebook Groups are going to become more predominant in the way we use Facebook.
  2. How the relationship between the Newsfeed and Groups works, and in particular what you can and cannot share and where.
  3. How to use the new tabs – Discover, Create, and Settings.

And much more!

Resources

I use a secret Facebook group to support monthly membership, The Social Bee Academy, where:

  • my members can ask questions,
  • I share the latest updates and news,
  • and I create our monthly training online events.

The first month is only £10 if you use code SOCIAL-BEE-TRIAL. After that, for only £30 per month, you get access to me and the rest of the community to ask for help with anything you need to know about social media, marketing, and growing your business online.

If you’re in Northern Ireland, I also run regular workshops to help you use social media for your business, so keep an eye out on Eventbrite for any upcoming workshops you may be interested in.

Social Media Bootcamp.

If you’re a regular listener to the show, you’ll know I’m running a bootcamp-style conference on Friday, 31st May 2019 in Belfast at the iconic Titanic hotel, with my friend and colleague Ashleigh Watson of Copper Square Communications, and I’ll be delivering a session on what’s working on social media in 2019.

To find out more about the conference and what to expect from the event, have a listen to episode 77 of the Social Bee podcast – Why I am co-hosting Social Media Bootcamp in Belfast.
