When you are going to market your business online, you need to invest in a few building blocks for your business.  Of course there is social media – I use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIN.  But I use all of those accounts to drive people to my website.

The main blocks or pieces that you need to market your business online are:

  • a website
  • an email service provider
  • social media accounts.

Then I also use LeadPages, Clickfunnels and CourseCats… but we can go into those a little later!

To get you started…..

  1.  You need a web host – this is where your website is hosted online.   I recommend Blue Host or Siteground as your webhost.

Web Hosting

Both of these companies will walk you step by step through how to set up your WordPress website.

For my ‘theme’ on my WordPress website, I use Conversion Cats –  themes are the style of a WordPress site and my theme is set up to draw my audience in to join my email list.  Conversion Cats theme has a fantastic step by step installation guide and their support team are second-to-none.
Finally! Create a beautiful website on WordPress that effortlessly turns visitors into leads & subscribers!

For email marketing, I use and recommend ConvertKit – since switching to ConvertKit from MailChimp, my email list building has become supersonic!

Convertkit allows me to create sequences of emails, like my 30 Day Challenge of social media boost,  or my 5 Day Business Challenge.  It also tags each member of my email list so I know where they have come from initially.   Which is invaluable -if I am emailing out the people who watched my last webinar, tagged then I only email those people for example. Because they are tagged with the webinar date and topic.

I use Canva to create almost ALL of my images for the blog and social media – I have a little tutorial about using Canva here
